In case of the Miyoo Mini and according to the Onion Wiki MAME 2003 PLUS works the best on the Miyoo Mini. To go out of this ongoing process since newer games won't run on weaker host systems anyway, it is sometimes recommended to stick to an older MAME version with that according rom collection. That is why there's for example MAME 2003 and MAME 2010. A certain version of MAME is best being used to a specific rom collection for that version. Thus rom collections are being iterated with incremented version numbers. However since new arcade games/cabinets are still being produced in certain parts of the world, arcade emulators like MAME are in an ongoing process of supporting these newest games too. One of the most famous ones is MAME (= Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator). Instead there are emulators that try to emulate many many arcade games. MAME - While there are emulators for each home console and handheld like SNES, Game Boy, TurboGrafx 16 and so on, you don't have to worry that you need one emulator for the arcade version of Donkey Kong and another one for Contra. ![]() So by arcade emulation, we take roms that are dumped from each single of those "to one game dedicated" arcade cabinets and play them on one system, that is the host of one (or more) emulator(s) to run them. Needless to say the games are a little different from their home console counterparts, sometimes more, somtimes less. and Contra, there's one arcade cabinet that is dedicated only to Donkey Kong, another one only to Super Mario Bros. While you have a home console like the NES that has many different games like Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. In other words -> emulator = infinite coins. Most arcade emulators use the SELECT button to simulate an inserted coin. Luckily enough you don't need to throw coins at your Miyoo Mini. And this arcade cabinet is placed in a casino, store or whichever place, seeking for people to come and throw some coins in there to play "another round" and "beat the current highscore". I will then edit this post so it stays a perfect guide for everyone.Īrcade - Unlike home consoles, each arcade cabinet houses one game, at least in most cases. Please feel free to correct me where I'm wrong or spreading misinformation. ![]() While I don't (and can't) claim things here to be 100 % correct I'm at least pretty sure they are. So what is that thing that is called arcade? What is MAME (and what is MAME 2003)? What is FinalBurn Alpha? What is Neo Geo? What is CPS? Don't worry, we'll get things sorted. If you just wanna get things going, skip directly to section 2. Unfortunately I can't give you support for stock OS or MiniUI since I have zero experience there so please keep that in mind. This guide is about arcade gaming in Onion OS. Even I won't claim to understand everything but at least (and thanks to helpful people here and at Discord that I'll mention in the credits section at the end of this post) I know how to achieve what I consider to be the perfect and complete Arcade experience on the Miyoo Mini. Wanting to know and understand everything about Arcade emulation can take you down a deep rabbit hole for sure. Everyone can launch a Game Boy rom within minutes or even seconds but when it comes to Arcade games there's already a big amount of confusion.

Feels like you're losing a fair amount of potential customers because of it, and I'm really hoping you succeed. I'm hoping you guys are working hot 'n heavy on this importing business. The fundamentals of the application feel solid. And thank you for supporting Chromebook (even though you're doing it via Android :-) ). It's impressive how many platforms you guys are supporting. So after all the negativity, I *would* like to say "Way to go guys". I then copy and pasted the export (since lastpass opened it in my browser) into a csv in a different directory with a different name, and it worked just fine. ![]() For whatever reason I got some kind of error saying it couldn't find a lastpass export (or something to that effect). I deleted all the entries I had imported and tried to import the csv a second time. The following link contains two options, choose one and it should se. You can fix this either in Windows or Linux. Windows sets it to local time while Linux uses UTC (and calculates your local time based on location settings). In the firefox extension, I have the same problem with the options in the dropdown on the bottom right of the overlay / popup / whatever-you-call-it. Thats due to WIndows and Linux handling system time in a different way. In the desktop app, I can't see the username because the text is white as well as the background. The enpass desktop app and firefox extension don't play very nice with the dark system theme. I'm on Ubuntu 17.04 using a dark system them and a dark theme in firefox (v55). Thankfully I only have about 100 items, but I don't know if it's worth my time to manually add them to folders.Īnother issue. I'll also echo when I say in order to get people to switch, you need to make it easy for them. I'm a developer as well, so as others have stated, I know it takes time to tackle all these issues. It clearly labels the folders in a "grouping" header. I took a look at the csv that lastpass exports. Trying to import from lastpass and I've found the same as all the others. The lack of being able to import into a folder structure is really important. I'm going to have to agree with most of the people here. Wish you all the luck in the world! I'll probably be looking at Enpass again next year. ![]() I think I have been convinced to renew Lastpass for another year. Now I have to do a little math: how long will this take (850 items, in many sub folders, and different item types), how much is my time worth, and how much more benefit am I getting vs the alternative(s)? Neither file type can be importet into Enpass. Now I am able to export it with 'save as' but only as an eWallet file (.wlt) or as a text file (.txt). But this seems really fundamental, especially for a smaller upstart trying to take on much bigger players (Lastpass, Dashlane, etc), an excellent migration experience is critical to get users to, you know, migrate. Enpass can automatically import all your passwords and other information from 1Password, Dashlane, KeePass, KeePassX, LastPass, Bitwarden, mSecure, RoboForm, SafeInCloud, Splash ID, Sticky Password, Keeper, True Key. I have successfully importet my eWalletGO data into the Desktop Version of eWallet. I am a developer myself and very much understand delays. What I was hoping to find is a "folder" attribute I can map a column in the csv to, and I would have been a happy-enough camper. What's worse is that I would have been ok with something that is more manual than a "auto import" but less manual than going through 850 items and sorting them individually. I was evaluating different options and was close to pulling the trigger, now I am not sure. I would like to repeat a sentiment already stated: Importing without folders is a show-stopper. I am evaluating switching from Lastpass to Enpass. ![]() Last-gen and earlier controllers may need custom drivers and a bit of setup. how is it Join the Wicked Support Family with Youtube Membership.
